Over the next 40 years, the population of people aged 60 years and older will triple. This reality demands that we train students and health professionals to respond to the challenges posed by this aging population. In addition, we must develop new approaches to evaluation and treatment in both official languages to promote healthy longevity for all Canadians.
To meet these challenges, the mission of the Glendon Centre for Cognitive Health (CCH) is threefold: 1) leading and collaborating on applied research projects in neuropsychology and aging, particularly addressing the needs of Franco-Ontarians; 2) organizing practica for Francophone students of all levels of expertise; and 3) facilitating the dissemination of knowledge about cognitive health throughout the Francophone community.
